Default Jacks, Lifts and Corvettes

I saw a comment on an old post that simply said, "don't leave it on the jacks, they don; like that"

So... I am taking the winter to do several projects on my 69BB Convertible,
I have a service lift that has the car sitting on 4 5" diameter pads on the frame. (Fairly standard setup)
Is there any concern about having the car on the lift for a few months? I have never head of a jack/time problem with any car....
Doing, Trans, Shocks, exhaust,

My 68 sat with jacks under the frame in front of the rear wheels for 5 or 6 months. I raised the front from under the lower control arms. When I was working on the front suspension I put jacks under the frame behind the wheels and supported under the cradle to prevent any flex from the weight of the engine

Good to know - I'll be doing my front end suspension this winter and was planning on using the very same locations.
