Default Spare Tire - new lower tub

I'm thinking about tackling my spare tire tub. I have a brandy new tub that I got from the Chevy dealer about 30 years ago. What would be adequate pop-rivets to use for this? I'm going to Harbor Freight so I thought I'd ask instead of trying to experiment on my own..... I've learned to ask the experienced folks on here nowadays.

Guess I should start looking for the upper lid too....

My car has been modified for years. I'd just as soon do this easily if it the pop-rivets will work ok. I used to manually rivet blades with steel rivets to windrower blades and I have no desire to do that stuff again.

Every job is an excuse for a new tool. Get a pneumatic gun, you get the best results. I think I got mine there

Solid aluminum rivets like the factory used or pop rivets....heck use nice stainless steel machine screws and acorn nuts.

Great. I'm good with SS bolts and locking nuts.

Does anybody sell new top "lids"? I hadn't looked in ages, but I don't see any?

I have a pretty nice upper lid that I would sell at a good price. Not sure what shipping would be though, where are you located?
PM me and we can work it out if you like.
