Most vendors also have the whole tank kit that includes everything including new sender, sock, seals and hoses. A bit cheaper that way. That's what I did on my 69.
this is what I’ve seen online. It’s the sending unit and then the gasket pieces. Is that al I need or is there still more ?

i can’t get the picture to load but it’s the unit itself then one cork looking gasket and another black gasket. Is that what you are referring to?

Yes. Gas fill neck cork gasket. I think it's included in the kit from Corvette Central. You get everything including new straps and pads, sender, sock and gaskets and the whole thing goes for around 300 bucks. I think the only other thing you need is the connector hose or hoses. Can't remember if they come with it. I did mine only removing one muffler (right side) instead of both but both would be a bit easier. It was actually a fun job and the tank sticker was still there!

$300 for everything is not bad at all. Sourced individually its about 160 for tank + 40-80 for the sender and $50 for the install kit with all the straps etc. Thanks for that, i'll check it out.

* just saw the kit for 309 on corvette central and 229 on corvette America as well as corvette mods....is there something im missing here? I don't see why one vendor is $80 more.

My 6t8 was built in Jan of 68, no diagonal brace. A friend has a diagonal brace, month to me is unknown but he calls his a late 68. T
