Default Wheel Stud Size and Wheel Fitment Question

I purchased a set of Team Three LT III 17" X 8" wheels for my 73.
The standard wheel studs for a C3 are 7/16" X 20.
I'm thinking to have 1/2" wheel studs pressed into my new axles as an upgrade and was wondering if anyone running the LT III wheels, or any other wheel has increased the wheel studs to 1/2" and if so, did you run into any fitment issues.
I called Team Three Wheels and they told me that standard GM studs are all 7/16" or 1/2" and I should have no problems changing to 1/2" wheel studs.

Not really, but when I was talking with the person building my rear end, he asked if I wanted 7/16” or 1/2” wheels studs, so I thought, why not as long as my wheels will fit the 1/2” studs.
Price is the same.

Why not find out what the lug nut size for the 1/2 studs, probably 13/16" and see if your socket fits into the wheel. T

I'm building a 69 vert and I'm changing to 1/2 inch. I changed my Chevelle over to 1/2 inch when I put wilwood brakes on it. If you think you may need wheel spacers I would go with longer studs also.

I spoke with the wheel manufacturer this morning and they confirmed that my wheels will work with 1/2" studs and standard 1/2" lug nuts.
