Mystery hose. Anyone know what this is?
Working on a vacuum leak on my '70 and i accidentally snapped a T. The thick hose coming from the left is coming from the vacuum tank. There is a T and a thick hose coming out of the right hand side that attaches to the wiper actuator relay. There other side of the T is a much smaller barb that was connected to a small hose that runs through the firewall. I tried to trace it but couldn't find where it's going. Since it's broken, while trouble shooting the vacuum issues i hooked the thicker yellow striped hose directly to the relay without the T and everything seems to be fine with the smaller hose disconnected. Any idea what that smaller hose is? Thanks

I think that is the vacuum source hose for your heater - defrost - vent control.

EBay is your friend... there are probably better options if you look but this should work.

You might be able to find what you need in the way of the T at Autozone or NAPA since they sell that sort of thing. I have no idea on a 70 where stuff goes, sorry.

If you want higher quality replacement- just a few bucks more-
Go to your local hardware store and get some made out of brass- mine had all sorts of sizes a couple -three bucks apiece.

But carriljc is right, you can buy the same tee in the Dorman kit at most local parts houses. While it's white, you can paint it back to make it appear original. If the OP wants an original one he should email me direct @ Service@Willcoxcorvette.com, I've probably got an original one on a hose kit here... however, it would also be a 40 plus year old T and probably still be brittle like the one he broke.

Hello.
I'm reading your post and wondering if you solved your issue with the vacuum hose? I'm installing the Climate Control Vacuum Hose Kit (11492K Paragon) that I purchased form Corvette Central. The directions aren't very clear.
I'm replacing the long black hose that goes from the inside controller through the firewall.
Any help would be appreciated.
