I'm looking to convert the LH sport mirror (cable) to a non cable and curious if there are any mounts/hacks to make this happen. My cable snapped and no real way to mount the mirror back in since it's not a ball/socket joint.

I would think you could take the guts out of non cable mirror and switch it over but, I have never tried.

Was hoping there is a repo/part for this... trying to avoid buying a new full mirror if possible...

check local salvage yard, might be able to find a fbody or something with these mirrors and a short post.

Yes, the F-Body's (Camaro & Firebird) used the same mirror, but with a short pedestal. One inch shorter. The rest of the mirror is the same and many of them came with the manual right side mirror.
