Side pipes on a 76......
Hi guys, I was just wondering how much/difficult it would be to install Side pipes on a 1976 corvette. I have full length headers on there right now and I was wondering if they would bolt onto them, Are they street legal? I live in BC Canada and I was just wondering, I heard that if they didnt come with the car when made then they aren't legal, but im not too sure how true that is... I have also heard Hookers were the way to go...If anyone knows a good make or any tips/info for me please feel free to share, thanx :D

They would bolt right up to your 76, the slots are still in the frame. In the US they woudn't be legal because the would elimintate the cat conv. Don't know about BC. Joe

I really like the look and performance of the Hooker Header Side Pipes (with the mufflers removed of course :D ). I picked up my side pipes used for $550 shipped to my door off of eBay. I chose to go with black, that way when the paint starts chipping I can alway take them off and repaint them. There is a picture of them in my signature.
