Default Rear suspension higher on one side

I recently installed a new 3.55 differential in my 77 Corvette along with new spring mounting hardware. I reused the original 9 leaf spring. The car has a noticeable height difference on either side now, maybe an inch or so. What could cause this condition. The new end bolts are secured with a cotter pin, so there is no real adjustment to them.

A friend had same problem, he removed the spring again and did a 180 with it and reinstalled, problem solved. T

Haha I was just thinking about that. Perhaps, if I went with the longer 10 in bolts, I could adjust them independently.

Post a pic of the rear suspension. Not a good idea to adjust spring independently because you will pre load more
one side over the other.

Well, I turned the spring around 180° and even installed new 8" spring bolts and the car sits at the exact same height and even has the same height inconsistency as before. Nothing at all has changed.

Are you sure the crossmember is installed correctly on the "sombreros"? One could be sitting higher/lower than the other.

They should be. Is there a way to check?

Just make sure the gap between the frame and the crossmember is the same on both sides.
