Default 1971 wiper motor debug help

Hey guys, simple yet not so simple problem. After my rebuild and harness replacement I have many electrical issues. The wire diagrams are not the most hlpfull. My wipers dont work. I turn them on and the door opens (a good thing) but the wipers appear not to have any voltage to them. I am assuming (and may be wrong) that the discrete yellow and blue wires are my 12V supply? I get 0 volts. I have no clue as to what is what on the motor assembly as the schematics and 1971 assembly manuals are not explcit. Anyone have either a nice debug method for me or sume kind of assembly diagram that includes wire connections to the wiper motor assembly?

Thanks guys for any help!

Neither, but mine works, if you want me to do some voltage checks, I can. :)

Check that stupid wiper kill switch under the steering wheel inside the car....
it may be turned off, in which wipers will never run.....kills them in the UP position even...so as to change blades easily.....another dummy idea...just unplug the motor inside the engine compartment, there is a plug on that thick red wire....that red wire need 12 volts on it....
check the ground onthe wiper motor housing...it should be same voltages as the engine frame.....in other words....ZERO ohms wired to ground.....sometimes someone will confuse another stupid wiring thing, a ground wire for the heater blower/wiper motor..and something else...goes down to near the starter motor....black wire with a 3/8 dia. loop on the end...mistakenly put on the 12+ battery connector as it's wired in a **** poor spot right from the factory...goes under a bellhousing bolt, maybe starter mounting bolt.....at any rate that ground comes up top to the intake manifold on my cars....
OK, now the controll side, under the dash there is a 12 volt wiper fuse, running in the YELLOW feed wire to the wiper controll section and also the pump section....and also that solenoid I THINK, under the tach that allows the door to open when wiper switch is on....

make sure the dash bezel is not broken as that allows the grounding action of the wiper switch to be broken circuit...run another wire if necessary....

Gene's got it covered... The system sounds simple but it can really be a PIA. I had a 71 that gave me fits.. It was the switch not getting a good ground. I ran a wire fron the instrument cluster to a good ground and no more wiper trouble.
