Curious to see how it comes out/lasts

Camt help but wonder if C4 headers would fit these cars. Same overall design not sure about clearning 4 spd linkage.
Swaintech offers coatings in numerous colors..my fav is old school white. Talk about period/day 2 coolness!

Its sad to see these guys with talent dying off or going under due to everyone buying cheap chinese stuff.
That, and young people are sitting at home bitching they cant find a job...so many out there but never took a minute out to learn a skillset. Guess FB is more important.
Guess the people willing to pay for nice work are becoming less and less too.

Always wanted to try and fab up a crazy looking set of headers, bucket list project.
Maybe one day! No plug clearance issues, bundle of snakes look, easy to change starter etc. It would be fun

Yea,and my other set,I’m going to touch them back up and sell them, which I hated they didn’t have a little more ground clearance because as far as fitment to the engine, and on the passenger side, the starter will be an issue, but these didn’t,now the black ones,I just fitted the driver side up,and no problem with them,so,taking a risk spraying them before actually seeing how they fit.but, I’m inpatient.lol

These are the old ones, still new though after coating

Looks pretty good,one good coat.

Here the color, and product I used.

Looks great! I had the headers in my 2018 Camaro SS done in Cerekote (Cobalt) and they looked and held up great.

I'm with @scottyp99: I have the same Corvette Central exhaust system on my '80 and I'm curious how the fitment/alignment will end up. @Golferdad, are you still running the factory heads your '81 came with? How is the clearance around the spark plugs?

what are you running for a starter? if full-size orig, it may be time to down-size.

No,I replaced the heads with Edelbrock heads, and with these heads have different spark plugs, and they are shorter and much more threads on these so they screw deeper in the heads,so,no issue with plugs.
