Re: Windows (ddwood50)
Hi Dennis,
I converted my manual windows to power, that was 25 years ago. No problems to date.
I don't understand what problem could be fixed by having manual windows.
"Everything" is the same with PW as with manual.
Only difference is the motor takes the place of the manual crank.
Any problems with fit will still be present if converted to manual.
"I converted my Windows to Linux." Very funny!! :)

If the window goes too far up and then when you close the door there is a misfit or gap, the problem is a simple up stop adjustment. This is a rather common problem on the older cars. You do need to take the door panel off but the adjustment is obvious and simple to do. Actually there are a few adjustments that you can make to align and fit the window. Converting to manual won't fix it and is a lot more difficult. You will probably regret converting to manual windows and if you ever want to go back to power windows, you will have a hole in the door panel. Just my opinion!
