There's projects I’m in the middle of and projects to be done and one of them is the door glass hardware.
I won’t know for sure what needs to be adjusted, repaired or replaced till I get into it but looking at the parts catalogs I noticed that in ‘69 the factory added anti rattle bumpers with felt (?). If its one thing my doors do plenty of is rattle so I'm wondering is that something I can incorporate into my ‘68 door to quiet things down.
Anyone her done that ?
Someone may correct me on this, but I don't think there's anywhere to bolt them onto on the 68 doors. 68 doors are different at the inside top where the anti rattle's would attach, 69-82 doors. It may be possible to adapt them, you'd just have to be careful that whatever you did, didn't effect the installation of the 68 only inner and outer window wipes (fuzzies).

I was watching a couple YouTube videos last night and saw where they go. There are 2 oval slots at the top inside of the frame positioned about 1/3 of the way in from the ends where they bolt up and the felt rubs on the glass.
if the frame is flat in the same area but is missing the oval slots it would be an easy enough to add them.
I’ve got a local show tomorrow so I’ll be doing the small detailing on the car today. If I have time I’ll run a borescope camera I have inside the door to see if I can see what’s loose or worn out inside. If you grab the glass you can shift it as much as an inch back and forth. It’s also difficult to crank up.
thinking the regulator may be shot.
As I'm sure you're aware, many of the parts on a 68 Corvette are unique and different than later years, this includes the door glass and tracks. Luckily the rollers in the tracks and regulators are the same as later years, and are available. It's worn out rollers that often cause a lot of the play in the door glass.

Looking at the Zip catalog there are kits for 69-77 but also sell individual parts for 68. The kit may include a part that the 68 doesn’t use (?) have to look into it.

The kits don't come with the rollers for the regulator, just the ones for the door glass, and I think the 68's only use one of the two rollers that come in the 69-77 kit. Becuse of that, you might be better off just ordering the individual pieces you need. If you have an Assembly Manual, go to the door glass installation sheet (I think it should be around sheet K1 to K5), and just figure out which rollers, bushings, seals, nuts, etc you need to rebuild your doors. If you don't have an Assembly Manual you really should get one, you'll need it for this job, and probably a few others.

I have the AIM manual and the sheet is K11 as a supplement.
The kits have that bundle price and with the rollers going $20 a piece it might pay to grab the kit even if it has an extra part.
