Default Steering column to firewall attachment

Hey everybody,

Replacing the dash wiring harness in my 75 and in pulling the steering column I discovered the there was nothing holding it to the firewall. I don’t see any studs or even any place to bolt it to anything so I assume there must be something missing. I looked through the assembly manual and I’m not seeing anything there either. There IS supposed to be some studs or bolts or something at that location right? I feel like I’m losing my mind here.

Fantastic thank you! I knew there had to be something missing.

Yet another quest begins.

Be sure and buy the bolts along with the attachment plate, saves trips to purchase the correct ones.

If you have an automatic, the transmission interlock cable also attaches to the bracket and to your column.

Cable is missing as well. Something else to order. 🙄
