I am planning on installing a inertia switch in my 1969 to shut off my in tank fuel pump in case of a accident. I have the Ford switch and was wondering where anyone may have installed it. I installed my fuel pump relay in the rear compartment where the lockable glove box was. I would like to keep it inside the car for easier access.
Thanks in advance.

to put it in the interior you would have to run some of the wiring through the interior. not a bad idea as you can also then have a manual shut-off anti-theft setup.
I'm using the Ford Inertia switch. I installed it in the rear compartment.
I went a step further to help any troubleshooting.
I use LED fuses that light when they blow-
Blow one- put in parallel with the inertia switch- If the inertia switch is tripped- the blown LED fuse lights up.
So there's no question whether it's tripped or not.
inertia switch not tripped-
" target="_blank">
Tripped- fuse lights up
and used a wire nut - temporary!!!
A buddy and I both had big Ford Broncos, different years. Pretty sure mine was on the firewall above foot level, and his was behind the kickpanel--- fairly sure on the passenger side. Just a couple of ideas for you.

I installed mine behind the drivers side wheel well beside were the harness exits the cabin. You just fold the carpet back if you need to access it.
