I have a chance to buy back window with defog for 76 should I?
What's up everybody? Need some advice please I have a chance to buy a back window for my 76 I don't really need one right now but this seems like a good deal. My vette did'nt come with the defog option which came out in 76 so I would be raising the options Is this smart or dumb? How do you operate it? Can I buy the switch somewhere and make it look "correct"? My window now has been kissed by a palm sander more then once(not me) so I have a use for it anyways but can I get the defog to work? anybody ever ship glass before? little nervous about that.This new one came out of a 77 part#371415 Iam not going resto with this car so I don't care about option codes matching.So should I or not? Thanks Dale

My 76 came with the rear widow de-fog option but the switch was broken when I purchased it. With the switch being so close to the right foot I am not surprised. anyway, it took me several months of searching to find the right NOS switch. I kept watching and finally found it. So if the back windshield is anything like the switch.....
