I have the correct sending unit, but it reads high in my tunnel ram. Where can I find or what kind of resistor do I need? I was told it works.

I bought the adjustable resistor from Willcox but other folks sell them. Let me find my post. Dialed mine in (after decades of it reading LOW) and it tracks beautifully withy my digital EZ-EFI sensor.
Gimme a sec....
Here is my post... https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-question.html

Mine looks like this unit from Ecklers. https://www.ecklerscorvette.com/corv...-363419-1.html

Pretty much what it looks like installed. I have tape over that insulator during that picture.... I replaced it later. The resistor gets toasty so DON"T tuck it in too tight. Mine now hangs low in case I ever had to adjust the operation and it's not squished in......of course it has never needed any adjustment other than when I tried a different sensor. Make sure you pay attention to the fiber washers and whatnot.

Wonderful.
Where did you get the adjustable resistor?

I could only find the one similar to mine at Ecklers and they said they were out when I last looked.

I put up with my gauge reading low for ages.... this is a wonderful contraption.

I saw some at zip and Corvette central but I wasn't going to spend $40-50 plus shipping so for a few bucks picked up some resistors and soldered a 1/4 watt 5% 51 ohm ceramic resistor in.

Wish you were near me. I have a tackle box full of electronic parts I used in school years ago. All you need is a 90ohm resistor. Those old '50-'60's wire wound resistors (like the one shown on the fuel gauge in posted picture) can be trashed unless you are really into originality.

Thanks.....I saw that --- that is different than the contraption I bought from Willcox.
Mine replaced the 90 ohm resistor behind the gauge.....looks like so.
If figured it would easy enough to make my own but it was only 35 bucks when I got it in 8 years ago and I was buying some other knick-knacks from willcox at the same time. I am glad I did it.....I put up with that annoying gauge reading low for like 30+ years.....
