HELP!!!! Who knows how to remove silicon gasket material?????
Bubba glued my weatherstrip with silicon. It didn't stick to the rubber but sticks like heck to the body. Anyone have any neat tricks to clean it off?????

Depending on the type of silicon used ammonia works well. Usually the strength on glass cleaner is good enough but you may want to try mixing your own. It won't take off the big chunks but it works well on the small or thin areas. Good luck, that stuff is a real pain.

IFyou are talking Silocone sealant like RTV, maybe the blue/red/orange/gold/blacks made for auto use, comes in toothpaste tubes...
the solvent is mineral spirits...but use a razor blade first....
I follow up with carb cleaner afterwards......but watch the paint....
then go for glass cleaners....
when the stuff is fresh, and you are doing a cleanup after an install...
use denatured alchahol.....

Thanks guys!!! Mineral spirits, eh. I know trying to just rub or scrub is the pits.

Silicone seal remover is available at any hardware/plumbing store. It is used to clean up sealed areas such as the joints in tub surrounds.
