I use the Permatex spray-on gasket remover in a can. Works well.

Naphtha works but you can't let it 'dry' or the RTV will harden up again.
Apply naphtha to the RTV and while wet, use a plastic scraper to remove the goo.
It may take several applications but on stuff you don't want to damage with abrasives or razors, it's the way to go.

I use a large flat XACTO blade to scrape them. The blades are about 1/2" wide and fit in a large XACTO handle, which can be bought at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Joann's or other craft stores. Slip the blade under the gasket and RTV then push and lift. Any left over residue can be desolved with MEK, methyl ethyl Ketone which can be purchased at some electronics stores and is also great for removing solder flux. Do not get the MEK on painted surfaces.
