I think so. I have seen a 71-454 with the 2x4's using the Edelbrock intake and the stock BB hood for a 454. Look in the paper catalog or online at http://www.edelbrock.com at the heights of the 2x4 manifold and compare measurements front and back to the stock. This is using the Edelbrock AFB's.

I had to use the L-88 hood on my C-3....and it's still CLOSE -1/4 inch or so!
:yesnod: :chevy :chevy :yesnod:
But the 2x4 setup is THE ***** for the street!

Do the 2x4's stay in tune and have street driveability?

From the looks point of view the dual carbs look trick but from a functional point of view a single carb is better. It is 1/2 the trouble to tune, to jet, to buy in the first place and a single carb can put out just as much hp.
With that said :)
I run a pair of 850 double pumpers.

:seeya You will have to go with an L-88 or other Cowl Induction style hood! :yesnod: But I'm running a Edelbrock Street Tunnel Ram... and you'll be running the low profile 2-4 set-up!
