Crane XR-i and MSD 6A
I'm thinking of replacing my Pertronix Ignitor with the new Crane XR-i piece. It's a simple two wire connection just like points and the Pertronix. Crane says their XR-i won't work with the MSD. No explanation given.
I emailed tech at MSD a week ago and so far haven't received an answer. Any reason these two won't units work together? http://cranecams.com/ignition/xri.htm
I want to keep the MSD for the multiple spark feature.

Where did you hear that they weren't compatible? I was hoping to do that combo this summer.

As I said in my post, Crane replied to me saying the two won't work together.
This is what I received from MSD this morning.
Dear Sir,
We have tested the Crane XR-i in house with an MSD 6A ignition box and the two units worked together just fine. You can use the Crane unit with an MSD box.
