bummer. Glad to hear you're alright. :seeya
At least you have the girls dead to rights, though. You may never have the car back the way it was, but that's why they have insurance and lawyers :yesnod:
Be very happy you wern't seriously injured and between the ins and possible lawsuit you might be in a position to buy any car you want.
BTW I'd go to a real doctor for a checkup....you might be feeling the affects of this months down the road.
Sorry to hear about your baby .... but glad to hear to are "relatively" OK.
Steel and fiberglass can be fixed (or replaced) but main thing is you are allright. The second some bozo hits me though, I will promptly forget that and go ballistic!!
Woke up this morning with my right arm numb and lower back killing me. I have to go to work but will request off to go see a Chiropractor (spel?). I'll bring my camera and if the adjuster goes to the tow yard today I'll ask the insurance adjuster to shoot some pics with my camera which I'll post later.
I am Glad you and the girls are OK and i hope they will learn from this lesson. I am really sorry to hear what happened . I think the insurance will total the car and hope they will pay you with a reasonable price and after you settled with the insurance co. then try to buy the car back from them most of the time they don't want to keep it so they sell it really cheap to you . You can also bargain with them . If all that worked out for you i think you can get more than enough money to fix your car , but only if you want to keep the car b/c it will be a salvage title car.
the Progress of this story is scarring the crap out of me. I don't know what I would do if I lost my baby like that. I hope to god that you come to a quick recovery, It's bad enough you have lost your pride and joy, there is no need for you to suffer with back pains as well.
...I'll bring my camera and if the adjuster goes to the tow yard today I'll ask the insurance adjuster to shoot some pics with my camera which I'll post later.
Please don't. I hate seeing wrecked Vettes, specially beautiful C3s like yours.
Glad you are OK. Like others have said, get another MINT one.
Happy that you are relatively OK. Take care of yourself and definitely see a doctor or 3.
As for lawsuits, find the person or persons that served the driver. They could be just as guilty depending on local laws. If it was a bar, DEEP pockets.
Lastly, careful about the Harley thoughts. They can be just as addicting and costly as a vette. Unfortunately, more deadly. This might not have turned out as 'well' (relative term here) had you been one.
man - that is awful. I am very sorry to hear about the accident. I always liked the pics of your car. It was easily one of the nicest C3s out there. Glad that you made it out without serious injury.
Best of luck with the insurance, and I hope the driver of the Honda gets the maximum penalty allowable from the judge.
Just got into work. The Vette is being trailored to West Coast Specialties and Ryan the manager has a 65 BB rag top he is working on. the adjuster went in early and claimed the vechicle is salvagabler but would not comment on the extent of damage. West Coast Specialities is a top flight operation as per. http://www.pagekeeper.com/ca/WCS/default.htm
My back is in question and I'll be heading to the flight surgeon in 10 minutes so he can release me from CHAMPUS PRIME and then I am clear to see the Chiropractor. At 3PM I'll head to West Coast Specialties and take the pics and post later this evening.
That burns me! 4 drunk girls and they'll probably get off with a warning or community service. :mad I'm glad you're okay but sorry to hear about your car. I hope the damage isn't as bad as it appears. Good luck. :seeya
no, here in california you're totally screwred for a dui, if you're under eighteen its usually a thousand dollar fine, no license for a year and community service, over eighteen it comes out to close to 6k in fines, no license for 90 days, provisional license for 6 months, insurance skyrockets, mandatory classes for at least 2 months. yeah. they wont get off easy.
Sorry to here about this :cry . Make sure you take care of you back. The last time I got hit was over 5 years ago and I still have days where my back is sore. I hope they decide to repair you vette.
Good luck with all the insurance BS. I hope your back/body was not damaged
permanently. The ins companies NEVER can pay you enough for pain that
will follow you for your life. Fight for as much as you can $$$.
Also, it sounds like your baby may be on it's way to a professional repair.
Wish you the best of luck - and a future in the hobby !!
I agree. The driver is in for hell. Legal limit is 0 for minors. One drink and your considered drunk. The 3 other girls will walk with no punishment. If she has insurance, you need to get paid for your pain and suffering.
That's one sad looking mess. I can't see that being salvagable. You can't tell me that there is not some frame damage(minimal or not). Don't take this wrong... and I will probably get cremated for saying this... but, as far as vettes goes you will forever on own a wrecked vette that many potential owners may just bypass on just knowing about it. Especially if you show them the pictures. Life long damaged goods.
For everyone looking for pics.... go back to the first post of this thread as Cali added them in the first one.
