Got the new BB runnin tonight. She really sounds good. 427 bored .60 over, mild comp cam, forged alluminum flat tops, high performance GM heads,LS-6 intake, Holly carb, balanced. A little cam action at idle, as we raised the RPMs she smoothed right and purred. Just a few minor details and she will be back on the road. I'll have pics soon. So Xcited!!!! :hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray:

Re: fired it up tonight (1970 Stingray)
That first start is so great. It was music to my ears and such a great relief that all the hard work was just about to end on that part of the project.
Congrats on the run.
Oh that's good! Starting your pride & joys engine for the first time is an event you will never forget and one you will always savour. The next time my engine starts it will be with my new roller cam. I hope it goes as well as yours!
yup Thunder Hill, I'll be there. My friend and the mechanic who did most of the rebuild works there. He helped build the track. He may be there right now. He said he wanted to put 150 miles on it before he lets me have it back. He wants to make shure everything is right. Yea Right, I think he just wants to drive it around for awhile. But thats ok, he did a great job at a very reasonable price. http://www.thunderhill.com/
I have an in car video of chasing a car that looks just like yours around the track at Thunder Hill. I could e-mail it to you if you can recieve 2 meg movie clips.
By the way I don't put my motors to the limit till about 500+ miles
