Does anyone have any experience with Hedman headers???
Looking at a set of big block headers for my 70. Anyone know how well they fit & the ground clearance? Similar to hooker super comps? Any dimpling needed? 454 4spd with P/S. No A/C

I do but they are for a sb, they seem to fit nice but had them installed. They began to rust with in a year, really wish I had gone the cermaic route. I can't go over very much of a speed bumb or they hit.

I've had them on my Vette for about 14 years- I just had them coated by Jet Hot & would really recommend that you spend the extra $ to buy them that way. I had to make one small dimple on the passenger side to clear the frame due to intermitant contact at idle- it's low enough that you can't see it & Hedman said it wouldn't affect their warranty. Unless you go over some real high speed bumps too fast or a big crown in the roadway(like a very high rise before entering the street) ground clearance isn't a problem. The only part that's ever made contact is the collector, but that's only happened a handful of times in all these years & has never resulted in any damage.
