Re: VERT owners -- rear deck lock adjustment???? (standup)
Got the same problem, after adjusting everything every which way,i still have it,the best guess i can make is that the cold air has possibly led to the material in the top shrinking slightly, perhaps some warm weather would help....john :chevy
Re: VERT owners -- rear deck lock adjustment???? (standup)
OH, you talking of that conical shaped stud the top has going into the catch/latch in the deck lid??? if so, check the depth, and if it's catching at all, if not, you need adjust the position of the catch underneath the chrome bezel...that catch mechanism moves around slightly to make sure of grabbing the 'bolt'....
I was thinking the catch holding the deck lid down to the car fender area inside there....that one is another topic, that took me a LONG time to finally figger out I had to modify the catch itself for the lever to flip correctly and quit damaging the fender chrome piece which acts as a trip block....
Re: VERT owners -- rear deck lock adjustment???? (mrvette)
The same thing happens with mine. Sometimes the afformentioned sping loaded "catch mechanism" doesn't fully return to the closed position after I drop the top. Check out the operation, lube it, or squeeze it closed prior to locking down the rear edge.
Re: VERT owners -- rear deck lock adjustment???? (standup)
If you're referring to the bolt at the base of the actual soft top, you can adjust the length of it and also need to lube the catch from underneath the canopy.
