I'm new,,,, So hello all you corvette people. I have a 1981 red convert.
I have just replace the interior and dash. I'm looking for a B & M shifter for my automatic. Also, I'm looking for advice on Headers. Thanks for your time
:seeya Check out Dynomax headers from summit..........As for the shifter I am not sure....If you want a shift kit then check out the Transgo shift improver kit
BTW the Dynomax is ceramic coated fit perfect and are just a shade over 200 bucks..Make sure you get some Percy's aluminum gaskets to seal them :yesnod:
Welcome  I had a B&M Quick Silver shifter in a older Firebird and I loved it. I teamed it up with a B&M 3000 stall torque converter and B&M shift kit and it was amazing. I know one of the guys on the forum put this shifter in his vette so hopefully he will let you know how he likes it.

Re: B & M shifter (73Stingraycoupe)
Welcome to the forum  ..As for the shifter I had a B+M megashifter in a Camaro for a while, biggest piece of junk I ever owned. The tiny B+M cables broke three times in a year, and occasionaly the ratchet mechanism wouldnt operate or would hang up.I replaced it with a Hurst Quarterstick, they use a much better cable and never had a failure of any sort with it.
I just put a Megashifter in my 80,quite a bit of custom work, but is possible.Had to make a console plate and rework the shifter mounting a bit.
As for headers,go with Hookers. From what I've seen at the shows the fit is the best.Mine slid right on with no massaging what so ever. :smash:
