Default Need advice on C3's

OK Thinking of selling the C4 and moving to a C3. I want to spend around 10K. Would love a chrome bumper 68-73 but am open to almost anything. This will be my daily drive, I only drive a 100 mile or less a week. So what are the Pro’s and Con’s? What should I be looking for both good and bad. Or should I just move up to a newer C4 “92 up”???

How good a mechanic are you? For ~$10K, you're looking at a fairly high milage chrome bumper coupe in pretty good shape, possibly with some restoration work already done. It will probably not be the world's most reliable daily driver, but with some mechanical skills you should be able to keep it on the road, as it probably won't have major issues.

However, if you're willing to go rubber bumper, you can a pretty nice car without a ton of milage and needing relatively little work for that $10K

Mostly do all my own work on my cars. On my 73 Camaro rebuilt the front end, top end of the engine, all the change over work headers etc. Thats why I like the older cars easer to work on.

IMO, you will have to give a little more than $10k for a C-3 with the performance, ride, and economy of a late C4.
