Replacing my fuel pump and need to know what the best replacement would be…I only want to do this once. A couple of post mentioned replacing it with an 85 pump that produces 15 PSI. :confused:

The 85 pump would be for TPI and therefore would be much higher than 15 PSI. You may have heard 84 pump as this year also had the crossfire injection motor.

If you use a much higher pressure pump, you may have trouble with pressure regulation during lower RPM speeds as the return line may not be capable of handling the fuel volume, not to mention the wear and tear on your pressure regulator.

I think would also go to the Crossfire forum and ask the same question. I too would be interested in hearing if the 84 pump is superior to the 82 pump. It seems like I heard something like that before too.

The 82 and the 84 pumps are both crap. you want to get an 85 or NEWER pump.
I heard the big thing is to install the ZR1 pump. it will never drop below the minimum psi.
