How to paint a corvette video
Does anyone have the Ecklers "How to paint a corvette" video? Is it good? Worth the $25?? Anyone willing to loan it to m e for a bit or maybe loaning me a backup of it :) I am seriously considering doing all the body and paint myself on my 79. CF is great btw. :D

I have it. Save your money. I would send it to you but I won't be back home until late March. If you can wait that long. He demonstrates how to paint a mid year car, but you really don't get to see the whole thing start to finish. Plus it is for shooting lacquer. I found the video produced by Jon Kosmoski from The House of Kolor to be much more useful.

Re: How to paint a corvette video (motown 71)
Thanks 80TPIVette. I would like to watch it. Shoot me an email to jacobsed@comcast.net and I'll give you my address. When I send it back to you I'll refund your shipping cost with some added beer money. Where can I get the video you mentioned that is more beneficial.
I've been reading Lars technical docs on painting vettes. Seems that if you have a brain, lots of time and the initiative it will turn out great.

If any one has a link to a way for me to purchase Eckler's how to paint a Corvette Id really appreciate it, the car in the video is one I recently bought. It's a Daytona Blue '64 Coupe

Lots of practice on something other than the car, with the type of paint you are going to use. I have successfully painted cars in the 80s using the then current enamal. Didn't take to long to get the hang of it. Tried to do some touch up, with acrylic enamal. Looked good going on, but when it dried I realized I shot it way too dry. Looks worse now than when I started. Body work this winter, will let a pro paint it.
