I've heard recently that rear shocks should have a maximum extended length of 14.25 inches. I measured mine and it was 15.5 inches. Supposedly, this can cause binding between the half shaft and the stub axle. Has anybody else heard this?
Yes, Bair's Corvette warns about this when they do a trailing arm rebuild. They sent me a sheet about this very thing when they returned my T-arms. It's true.
I also had my differential rebuilt by Bairs and there was a warning about the overall extended shock length. I called them to ask what brand of shocks I should use. They could not recommend anyone. Does anyone no what shock manufacturer meets this requirement? :steering:
Hmm, that's not good, I have KYBs too. Full droop doesn't happen too often in the rear, but I guess it could. Is there some way to install "straps" to stop travel??
