Well thanks David, but I would have opened your picture thread even if it wasn't dial-up friendly. you alway have some great photos.

I went to the Del Mar show a couple of times when I was stationed down there (and not out to sea!) Loved it! Always see some of the most unusual mods, and get good ideas too!

Do you hit the Spring St. Cruise in La Mesa? Buddy of mine has (had?) a really sharp 67 convertible (pewter/black) that he shows there once in a while. That's usually a good turn out too!

Sorry about the horse pics. I was so tired after walking so many miles plus we got home and cabed over to El Torito for some good ole Margaritas. I just love Del Mar. So many things to do. Really makes me feel the Vette's low end when I see 100K rods with 10K, 750HP engines on a <2000lb. chassis. Well maybe someday.

Oh that one. Okay 55 I think, LS-1 with cam/ head work. That device is the pnuematic pump and resevoirs. Basically it's a bag system. Really nicely set up. And oh by the way the owner says it's a 11 second car that still gets 20mpg. I believe him.

Not to Hijack the thread, but I'm going to be down in SoCal at the end of the week, is there any big car events going on? Unfortunately, I dont' have the 'Vette, but I'd like to see any shows if they're happening just the same. :cheers:

I did and all I gotta say is - wow!

Met Boyd Coddington as well which was very cool, he had his latest aluminum creation (i guess from the TV show) there, bought a few things from the vendors there.

Otherwise just a plain poopiepot of nice looking (and some very average looking) cars

The biggest car event I know of is I am helping pull teh big block out a friends Nova on sunday....wont be much of a show, but you're welcome to come by. :lol:
