I started this project Jan of 2003 (did a 200-4R swap in that time and fixed other things as well). I work slow and learned a good bit along the way. I don't want to take credit for the design of the system, that was my dad, but I did all the assembly and such and put my input in when necessary. We are also doing the rear suspension. Just have to make a new differential crossmember and a little welding to finish it. Still can't get the rear shock mounts out. Benefit of coilovers for the rear though, you can just use a regular bolt instead. We are also going to make a crossbar from one shock mount to the other. Then tie it down to the frame crossmember below it. This will take care of any concern that they shock towers aren't strong enough for coilovers. I think they are, he thinks they are, the few other people that I asked think they are. The crossbar is just a precaution besides acting as a chassis stiffener. We are also going to complete the weld holding the shock towers to the frame. GM decided to only do half of the weld. Anyways, here are the pics.

I'd like to think that I'll be on the road by May, June at the absolute latest. I'm kinda glad I didn't drive it last year. I probably would have crashed it or something because I was still a senior and high school. I took a few months off on working on it, lack of motivation I suppose but I've been working on it every chance I get now.
