I cannot imagine a IRS Vette ever needing a roll bar of the size the Herbie came up with for his set-up! I have visions of torn off trailing arm mounts looking at that rear bar! Ranch had a 3/4" adjustable rear sway bar for the C2/3 Vettes years ago and I have seen several of them destroy rear trailing arms. I think this set-up would destroy the handling of any Vette it was installed on! Remeber Herbie was a Pontiac engineer, before he became a aftermarket suspension "Guru", Dick Guldstrand kicked his but* in a Car Craft shootout with the newley introduced 3rd generation F body. Dick knows Vettes better than F bodies, and Dick won't run a rear bar on a Vette, I do but, I autocross and it is the small rear bar!

Guldstrand was a stiff spring with a small bar suspension tuner. Adams was a soft spring with a big bar tuner. Very different philosophies on keeping the tires on the road. Adams is the reason why second gen Trans Ams have massive bars.

the only thing nice is the mounting brackets and heims that come with the bar, weld those to your arms, run pillow blocks with a striaght bar and arms and you have a nice setup that will not deflect.

Generally, I agree with your comment about Adams.
One reason his bars are so large is that they have very short lever arms as compared to OE or VB. So to get the same roll resistance, the bar diameter must be larger.

actually with the short arms they have even more resistance, the longer the arm the longer the leverage the suspension has on the sway bar and the less effective it is. The shorter the arms the harder it is to twist the sway bar.

I have an old article somewhere where Herb modified a c-3 and was pulling over 1 g on a skid pad. Seems like I remember he did not like the trailing arm bushings being rubber (deflected too much) or eurathane( would not twist or sheer) so he ran some type of "heim" bushing(?)
Also didnt seem like he really modded it too much.
