Good to see you found our little board Quick Bowtie, and congrats on the new car, from the first words you wrote it seemed to me the car has finally ended up in the right hands! I wish to see you posting here more about the car in the near future!

Nice!

I was not participating on the forum when Merlin was built. I have to say that after seeing these pics of Merlin for the first time the creator (builder or not) deserves credit as the car is visually stunning and is something to be appreciated. That engine looks great in that car!

Twin_Turbo, thanks for posting the pics, I was wondering what she looked like after all the controversy she has created. Much as I would say a fine piece of art does.

Quick-bowtie/merlin. The car does look very cool.I dont know the internals or size of the engine, maybe somewhere around 525cubes with a small valvetrain, hence the valvecover made to fit around the powerbrake unit.My guess would be 650to800hp max? Still good but to get past1000hp level very difficult.Need big cubes, lift, lots of boost and or nos and or smaller cubes with high rpm turbo s.You say 1270 I cant say it s not true.A track testing would tell alot .As far as 225thou in receipts ,for what. Top dollar for everything I see ? engine 25to30grand,paint10grand,wheels/tires 5grand,misc 10grand,car 15grand,75thousand tops, wheres the other150thousand.If steve spent that much on the car someone stuck it to him.
