I've checked the archives and seen a couple responses to this, but I just want to make sure. On the front coil springs on my '79, which end is up or does it matter? It appears that one end is slightly more tightly coiled than the other. A couple of people have said this end goes up. I just want to verify that is true. Thanks.
The coil springs that you bought from us do not have an up or down to them. Either way will work the same. Chumpzilla, if you have any more questions about these give Robin or Gary a call. 800-237-9991.

I recently cut my springs to lower my 72 to a presetable height. The small end of the coils go to the top. If you have to cut the springs to achieve a desired height, cut about 1/4 of a coil at a time.
With 255/60's/15" tires, the height at the top of the lip at the wheel wheels shoiuld be 27.5". Be sure to seat the end of the coil in the top pocket indentation.
Best of luck
