Best place to get new dash
I'm looking at replacing the dashboard in my 1980. Anyone had any experience with a good vendor? Who did you buy it from and how much?
Thanks in advance.

I can't help you with a replacement dash, but I can tell you what not to do. Don't buy the $100 cap. I did. I removed my dash to install the bastard and it still fits like crap. I can't open the glove box door without pushing the bottom edge of the cap under the door. If I slam the door shut, the top corners will go under the cap. And it made fitting the headlight switch a nightmare. It looks decent, but I'd never buy another one. I'd save my nickels and dimes and buy a replacement dash.

A company called "Just Dashes" out of California does restoration of these dashes. I had them do my 82's dash a few years ago. GREAT job. It cost about the same as the replacment dash that everyone was selling a few years ago, around $450. The best thing is that if you have YOURS redone, it WILL fit back into your car PERFECT. It was about an 8 week turnaround time for the process.
