Default Stupid Question.....maybe

I'm looking at getting an L-88 hood for my 73 and i know Corvette America sells one, but in the catalog its only listed for 68-72 but...wont this fit my 73, they also sell an extended L-88 hood that eliminates the wiper door that was previously on the 68-72 vettes, but will it fit mine-Thanks so much in advance for your help all-Danny

68-72 hoods will not fit 73-up due the obvious size differences. I would avoid buying a 68-72 hood advertized as eliminating the wiper door and attempt to fit it on 73 or later model. You are apt to encounter fit problems. Buy the '73-up hood with L88 scoop.

When the wiper door went away the backs of the fenders changed shape a little. Either will physically fit, but you would have to do some (ugly, IMHO) mods to the 68-72 "extended" hood to make the lines work out. Get the one made for a 73 up and you will be miles ahead in the end.
