There's ONE on E-bay that's been bid up to $75. I consider that DIRT CHEAP for that carb. For a big block it would be ideal.

The 650 spreadbores (vacuum or mechanical secondaries) are going for pretty cheap.

Got carb back from rebuilder, it seems he glued up and epoxied the check valves, runs a little better.

Need to try r44ts plugs and new wires and set the timing, then I make a call to try a holley. May be also need a new mainifold to carb gasket?

Keep it man . Use some elevation and "lob" a 12 gauge slug on it from 100 yards away .

Or just flat nail it with a 7mm Remington .

Lots of uses for those things , even some use them on their engines

Now thats some technical input for ya Thank me later

The gasket should come with the carb if your buying new...also, if you buy new, you'll have the old carb there for a few additional parts you'll be needing like throttle and kick down linkeage small parts...

I bought my 4175 from Summit and it had everything it needed to bolt up. I did have to get an adaptor fitting to hook up the power brake vacuum line. The Holley thread size is smaller. Once everything was hooked up it ran OK but was very rich. I had to down size the discharge nozzle and play around with the cams. I ended up using the #21 discharge nozzle (it came with a #40). I still thought it was to much gas when I stepped on it so I changed the plastic cam to slow down the shot amount. According to the book that came with the carb that is the only changes you need to make it run good. I think it could use some different jets if you want to dyno tune it and get the best performance out of it.

I have used and like the Q-Jet very much. My current cars have holleys but that is only because they came that way. For an older car I prefer the Q-Jet and it can be made to perform.
