71 Electric Tach
Is there anyone out there that makes conversions to make 71 mechanical tachs electric? My crate motor came with a distributer without a tach drive. I want to keep the original looking tack faceplate.

hello, you can put an electronic tach from a 75-77(?) in the same bezel you have. i believe if you take your time you can swap the face plates to get the 'correct' tach face.
if you do that conversion,let me know and i can make you a tach filter . i have a guy at work who makes them for me!

For the tach filter you can simply use the schematic below and a couple Radio Shack parts if your handy with a soldering iron. FWIW.
