I am considering replacing my weak L48 with a rebuilt 427. I have a TH400 transmission. Is the any problems I can anticipate in replacing the engine, and what about any mods/changes to the front suspension.
Hello,
I read a similar post a couple of weeks ago. If the same people respond you should get lots of advice.
There is the suspension mods to take the extra weight of the big block. Maybe the radiator needs to be replaced. I dont remember the comment about transferring the added horsepower through your transmission to the rear end. I think they said somehting about updating those two components also.
