After much thinking and penny counting I decided it would be better to buy a car that was already done, rather than chopping mine up. I have been looking for a while and ran across this one, made a deal on it and it is on its way. I bought it as a roller, I want to go faster than the 8.40's it does now with the 482.
P.S. I will throw on a set of mufflers and drive it around on the street a little. The cops down here are pretty cool and if I don't hot rod it I should be ok for a little cruise here and there.
This car weighs 2200 pounds complete with a BBC and glide.

That's a nice drag car I am jealous some day I would like a track only race car.
BTW was that car ever actually a Corvette or is it a tubular chassis with
an aftermarket body, if the latter maybe you can run it in Top Sportsman or Pro Mod class, alot fastet than 8 sec class

It is a tube chassis with an aftermarket body. It is certified to 7.50's which I plan on trying to do with the 555-572 I am building for it. For comparrison I have a friend with a Barreta race car exactly like the 63 (weight, tranny, gear, etc) that goes 7.69 at 180+ with a 1223 hp 632. I should be able to coax 1350+ hp out of a heavy nitrous 555-572.
That is an incredibly cool ride!!!!! So, will you be restoring it back to factory specs?
I have thought a lot about how pointless it is to sink money into making a daily driver faster and faster. It is totally wasted money on power that you cannot use legally or sanely on the street and probably all it does is worsen your gas mileage. If you can only enjoy the power at the strip, why not buy a race car?? This has been my argument for not buying an AMG E-55 !!

After I get it I will add the plastic look a like factory dash (you see them in pro mod cars all the time), 03 Z06 seats, and all black aluminum interior. I will probably paint the roll cage black also. Not a big fan of the graphics on the hood scoop either.
Don't even think about driving "that" on the streets of Ohio
You'd get pulled over, they'd impound the car and a month later the sherriff would be cruisin' around in it as a "D-A-R-E" car
