As for the c3 vs. c5 I use my car as a daily driver, and also have a realativly short commute. I choose the c3. Although the c5 has the comforts and handeling unsurpassed by most modern sports cars. I drive the '68 for the WOW factor, you just don't see the chrome bumper c3 on the road as much. And in lunch traffic I love the thumbs up!

I have had both (drive a 2k convert now - drove a '69 vert for 11 yrs). I'll give you the advantages of each:
'69 - Much more appeal, fun to work on, less expensive to buy and maintain
'00 - Much better performance, much more comfortable, much safer, not a basket case worrying about wrecking it, better mileage, much more reliable

I drive my LT-1 to work on rare occassions (35 minute commute), and really enjoy it overall. When I had a C4 6-speed I enjoyed it more because it has A/C (still miss it)!
Pro: Stares, looks, and thumbs-up
Con: Stupid, careless drivers in POS cars

Thanks Shark Attack,
Are you going to sell the LT-1 when you find a C-4? Tell me more about the LT-1.
Thanks,

Thanks Shark01
If had to do it over and pick an immaculate 69-72 "show-car"roadster or a C-5 Roadster, which would you choose?
Thanks,

Since I have no interest in buying cars that are already restored, I would have to go with the C5, it really is amazing. but having said that, I have already saved up about $4k towards getting a early shark or mid-year (which is what I really want since I haven't had one) project car that I can restore/customize myself. But some of this discussion hinges on things like is this a weekend car (I am very fortunate that my C5 is) or how mechanically inclined you are (very helpful for the C3).

I actually plan to keep the '72 LT-1. She's one of one (as far as anyone knows). Per the original tank sticker, it has a "color-trim override" with Targa blue exterior and saddle interior (some don't like the mix). You can see it at "Member's Rides" on this site. I want a C4 for something to drive more often, but am in no hurry given their declining prices.
