1972 Red Corvette Convertible $11,995
I have lowered the price as I need to sell my '72 convertible by the end of the month. I am buying a new home and need the cash. I am asking what I believe is a very good deal of $11,995.
Below is a general description of the car:
The Good:
California Car
Mech. excellent (runs great, very dependable)
Hard to find red 4-speed
New brakes with new s.s. calipers in back (fronts have been rebuilt)
New master cylinder
New clutch
Rebuilt radiator
Newer top
Straight frame (rust free)
90% tread left on tires
Recently rebuilt engine
Tilt/tele steering, PS, PB, PW
After market Corvette AM/FM cass. stereo w/power ant.
Interior in good condition (no tears in seats, etc.) except for carpets.
The bad:
Numbers don't match (engine is from a 70 corvette)
Power windows don't work (may just be a fuse -- I don't know)
Non-A/C car
The ugly:
Paint looks good from 20 feet, but when you get up close one sees several scratches and blemishes.
A few typical stress cracks.
The carpet's got to go.
Below is a picture of the car and I will provide more at your request (please be patient). You can email any questions to me at 72vetteconv@usa.com. Thanks.

I'm down in Oceanside and would like to take a look at your car. Been keeping my eye open for a red 71/72 convertible.

I have reduced the price for a quick sale. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a steel bumper convertible that looks and runs good for under $12,000.

Re: 1972 Red Corvette Convertible $11,995 (My75Vette)
Yes, the car is still for sale. I've got it up on ebay and the price is currently $10,900 with 17 bids. It's got a reserve of $11,000. There are still 3 days left to the auction. I will sell the car today for $11,500. Here is the link:

Does anyone know how much it costs to have a car shipped across the country? I live in TN.
Nice car. I wish I could find a car like that around here.

Check with ebay. I hear their rates are pretty competitive. I think you're looking at $700 to $1,000.

Strange dude.... offers it on the Forum for $11,995, but willing to sell to a stranger on eBay for $11,000. If it were me, I would have offered at least the same deal to Forum members. :smash:

Re: 1972 Red Corvette Convertible $11,995 (Alan Heller)
Strange Mr. Heller dude doesn't know how ebay works. First, I let the members on this board know the car was available on ebay. Second, I told all of them my reserve price, something I did NOT disclose to any of the ebay members. Third, the car sold for more than the reserve price and the $11,995 price I offered to Forum members was flexible so I probably would have sold it to anyone on this board for the same amount. I received a lot of inquiries and requests for pictures from members of this forum and responded to every one.
Finally, even if I didn't do any of the aforementioned, it's my business how I choose to sell my car. Deal with it.
:cry
