Default 1970 Numbers Matching LS5 4-Speed Coupe - $32,500

Beautiful, numbers matching, documented, no-hit 1970 LS5 (454 Big Block), 4-Speed. This Corvette is in very nice original condition, with number matching motor, transmission, rear-end, starter, carburetor and original interior. It is a very early 1970, built on the 5th day of 1970 production (January 9, 1970). I have the Protecto-Plate and tank sticker for the car and original owners manual. The car is Donnybrook green with black interior and the odometer shows 76,291 miles, it appears that the motor has not been out of the car. The car runs great with all mechanical items working well. The fiber optic system works well, there is one (right rear) fiber optic not working, but it can be easily fixed. The car comes with a color matched L-88 style hood with 454 script on it. A very special item on this car is the fact that it was factory optioned with an M-21 and a 3.70 rear-end gear ratio (which negated the A/C option). The car is a blast to drive. The rear-end has recently been gone through, and I have replaced the front headlights with original T-3's that all work, I also have a date correct original switzer fan clutch to go with the car. I was planning on having the car NCRS judged as it is all there. I encourage any interested party to come see the car or send a qualified Corvette inspector to view the vehicle prior to purchase.

17,316 Corvettes were built in 1970 and 10,668 were Coupes. The car was optioned with the following items from the factory:

LS-5 454 390 HP Engine - 4,473 Built

G81 - Optional Rear Axle Ratio - 2,862 Built

M-21 - 4-Speed Close Ratio Manual Transmission - 4,383 Built

N40 - Power Steering - 11,907 Built

UA6 - Alarm System - 6,727 Built

U69 - AM/FM Radio - 14,529 Built

The car has had a power brake booster added to it, which makes it easier to drive, but it was not so-optioned from the factory. If a potential buyer did not want this item on the car, it is easily reversible to go back to full manual brakes.

Price Reduced $32,500.00

Thanks for looking!

Thanks very much jw72, I hate to sell the car, but my daughter and her attending college have added up to more than I thought I was going to have to spend!

To anyone interested. I know this car well. I actually street raced against this car with my M22, 3:70 ratio '71 LS6 coupe. It is fast, and pulls very hard.

Seeing how it is almost identically word for word the exact as another C3 for sale ad, not sure "nice job writing the ad" is appropriate.

All the way down to the link, the email address, the same misspelling of "sterring" and even the inability to post his own pictures. I thought they were just 2 ads by the same person with 2 cars for sale (different screen names?) Nope, somebody just flat out lifted the other guys' ad verbatim.

Vettebuyer5869, I didn't really notice what you had posted until I went back to my post to lower my asking price. I seem to remember that forum rules state under rule 8. "If your contribution to a for sale thread does not advance the sale, you are in the way." I see you like to think you follow the rules and tell people what to do Quote:
"You can't link your ebay auctions here... the rest of us can't". which you posted on 72ray's for sale thread as well as the negative post you posted on my for sale thread, for what reason? It appears you do not follow the rules of the Forum very well either.

Its a "For Sale" post, so what he used another post as a template?, we all "quote" from each other, and I don't think there are any copy rights on our posts here!

BTW 2000HdTp, thats a great car! .. I wish I have the cash!
