FS: 74 Running, Driving Project, $3000
Asking Price $3000
Hi everyone,
Well, the time has come for my '74 350 to find a new owner. I have had the car for about 5 years and have just never found the time to fix it up as I wanted to. Also need the money for a down payment on a house, and since I will be going to medical school in the near future, there will be little time (or money) to spend on this old Stingray.
As the title states, this is a running and driving car, and it DOES run well... It will still scare the bejeezus out out of people who haven't ridden in a properly powered V8 before Mechanically, the car is pretty solid, as the motor, suspension, and brakes have all been addressed since I bought the car. There is still plenty of work to be done, but this should be a great car for someone who has the time, especially with winter coming up.
Since I bought the car, I have put less than 200 miles on it (pathetic, I know), so all of the new/rebuilt components have less than 200 miles on them! Here is the list of new/replaced items:
-Engine professionally rebuilt
-Summit branded Iron Eagle heads
-10:1 compression
-Comp Cams XE268 cam
-New clutch and flywheel
-New water pump
-New Radiator
-Rear end professionally rebuilt by previous owner
-New rotors, calipers, pads at all four wheels
-All front brake lines replaced
-Front and rear suspensions partially rebuilt
-Steering system partially rebuilt
-New Firehawk Indy 500 tires at all 4 wheels
-Carpeting replaced with Al Knoch Interior carpet with LizardSkin and heat insulation below (Insulation fitting not complete). Not all carpeting installed, have rest of complete set.
-Headers wrapped to keep in cabin temps down (can easily be removed)
That being said, I would like to list all of the areas I know of that need to be addressed:
-Headlight vacuum system (headlights don't go up/down without help)
-Body work and hole in fender (See pictures)
-Paint
-Brake lights and rear blinkers
-Front bumper is cracked in multiple places
-Horn doesn't work
-Driver's side rocker panel is missing
-Oil pan leaks very small amounts of oil
-Power windows work intermittently
-Parking brake is disconnected (have rebuild kit)
-Oil pressure gauge not working
-Carb needs rebuild
-Speedometer is disconnected (Have speedo, needs new needle)
-Door panels not in great condition
I haven't driven the car at all since the speedo broke, but I still run it regularly to keep the cobwebs out. If you would like pictures of anything specific, just let me know, I should be able to get them to you within a few day. Also, I have vids of the engine running, and I can certainly provide those to any who may want them.
I have invested around 7-10k in this car (haven't tallied receipts yet), most of it in the motor, suspension, and brake systems. I am asking $3000, so make me an offer. Thanks in advance for looking.

Drifting
I don't usually comment on ads in this section, but I have to say I like this deal! This car will make some young man very happy. It would make a great rat rod corvette.
