With the exception of an L82 and A/C,
this car is loaded.
What does this mean? Does the car have AC or not? Is it an L82 or not?

I think he means the car has every option available except the two most important with are the L82 engine for 1977 and A/C.

So its really not loaded. But its a better way of stating it.

Rob is correct.

The car does not have A/C and it is not an L-82.
I'm sorry PKguitar that you did not understand the Ad.

Hi Rudy, David Howard here. I currently own two 77's and have just couple of thoughts that may help your friend sell his 77.
Does your friend have any documentation that comes with the car, that is, as the second owner, does he have the original owners purchase contract, protect-o-plate, warranty cards, or any other documentation? Are there any records of repair or maintanence that can be used to verify the mileage on the car? Buyers may want to see the delivery sheet which should be available on this car. Is this a 77E or 77L car? VIN number and a picture of the trim code will also help him with the sale in my opinion with buyers looking for low mileage cars that they can verify.
I have a Corvette Orange 77 with 23K miles on it, that is why I am asking about verification of data using documentation.
Just suggestions that may help him sell it faster and closer to his asking price. Only about 3,900 of the 77 production left off the air conditioning and until you posted this one I had not seen an original 77 without air. With this market, without air, and without documentation it may hard to find a buyer willing to fork over $8k for this car now, in my humble opinion. Good luck to him with his sale.

Default Price reduced to $7900.00

Hi Dave,

I e-mailed my friend and told him what you wrote and he appreciated
your input.

He is checking with the folks he bought the car from -
His future Father-In-Law regarding the paperwork.

As for the price, he agrees in the current market,
He wants to sell it soon (needs cash for the wedding)
so it has now been reduced - $7900.00. Giddy Up!

For those interested, the car is located in Grand Rapids Michigan.

Wow thats a nice drop in price ($2,000 or 20.20%).

That should get alot of interest quick. And now looking at the Pics and the new price, this car is good to go.

Should sell soon!

77Sleeper,
You asked "Is this a 77E or 77L car?".
Just wondering does it make any difference?

I suspect he is referring to early and late models.

You probably know, but for the benefit of people watching this thread, the early cars came with unpainted horn button (T&T Column only), no flag emblems on side, and the alarm "lock" on front fender rather than integrated into the door lock.

Greetings!

I'm sorry to say that I do not know all of the
"In's and Out's of a 77' and without the car in my garage,
I cannot answer all of your questions.

However, I do know there is an alarm "key lock" on the
drivers' side front fender. If any of you are seriously interested
in the car, please PM me and I can give you the owners name and
telephone number so you can call him directly.

I don't mind being the thread starter, but without the car at
my disposal, I'm more of a hinderance to both parties without it.

You got it, sorry for the confusion. I have two early models and during the transition some had the flags and the lock in the panel, some really early ones didn't have flags. Just trying to see if this was an early production or later production car. Matters only to the guy asking and that would have been me and only for reference for a friend thinking about owning a 77. Price is very good on this car and I hope it moves quickly for the seller.
Hope this is a bit clearer.

If he is, I believe he is wrong. If I am not mistaken, the 85 mph speedometer replaced the 140 mph speedometer very late in the run for the '79 model year. I don't know if '77s had 160s or 140s, they did not have 85s.

Absolutely incorrect. The 77 speedo went to 160, as shown in the picture.

All of this stupid bantering....
The car sold in a bidding war - $9200.00.
This was the cleanest and nicest unmolested 77' I have ever seen.
It will probably be taken to Carlsile and get a Top Flight and Bloomington
Gold and get "Survivor" certification. It was that original.
You snooze you lose.

...I thought about that one for days, especially when it had the $7900 price on it. I love those clean, original '68-'77s, especially those non A/C cars. Problem is that I store my Orange '74 above my Silver '75 on a lift. If I would've brought that car home, life would have been much simpler as I would be single again.

...loved that White/Red interior combo.
