Default Monaco Orange 69 Coupe - Thoughts?

Found this car at a local dealer here in Northern VA. I have no affiliation to the dealership, but cannot post the pics without the dealer name showing up. Sorry if that's a no-no. They originally wanted $29k and now they are getting desperate to get rid of it, and have come down to the very low $20's. It appears to be original paint and all the numbers match. Rally wheels, black interior. AC, power windows. Everything works well (except the radio). There are some spider cracks in the paint. The entire brake and the vaccum systems are new. Car is super clean and drives really nice. Only downside is it's a 300 hp 350, not a more desirable engine. It's claimed to have 46k original miles.

What do you think? Worth a $22k ish pricetag in today's market?

Ask the dealer if you can have Tony's corvette shop in Gaithersburg take a look at it, from these pics it does not look bad, but that is the point of these pictures..

1rst thing you need to do is make your own for sale ad.

2nd, to the op, thats seems like a nicely detailed low mileage vette, 69/air cpe w pw,pb is a nice find. 22-24k would be reasonable.

That's why.

Stepping away from the hijack, I think the orange car could be a nice buy too, if the frame, body and numbers were verified. I do like the smog pump in place as well as the air.

Default Worth it

I would say yes. It is quite the time capsule. With documentation ... absolutely!

I'd jump on that car. Its very tempting, if the frame & windshield pillars looks as good as the underhood detail.

Default Orange 69T-Top

I went and looked at this car and a couple sales guys came out. They said they would take$22 but the next day one called me and left me a message that they would deal further so I think $20 would buy this car. As the original poster said the radio works poor(picks up only one local station) the a/c put out only hot air though and the compressor was running and the lines coming out were HOT. I can still feel it-lol! The interior is in A-1 new condition as it seems to have been totally redone-I repeat NEW condition. Tires are new,Chrome is like new and looks great. Under the hood looks very nice but appears the dealer sprayed some of that clear-coat stuff on everything though. Now for the bad part, the paint looks very nice from the sides (5-10 footer) however the entire top flat part behind the rear glass all the way back and including the "spoiler" have terrible spiderwebbing issues. Tha shiney paint is as rough to the touch as your concrete driveway-you could "grate" cheese on it! Also there are parts of each front fender on the top parts almost as bad and similar issues on the top part of each door along the lines of where the door handles are. Just by holding a mirror under the car things look very good as it seems there was some restoration cleaning and painting done and done well-no overspray etc. I would say this car would look great driving around at night with the street lights etc.shining on it but under inspection looking down on it-well I already said. It really needs a paint job so I will pass even at $20. Hope this helps anyone interested,Ralph

I just received a message that they will take $18.5 or it's going to auction. I'm passing on it, bought something else, but it's a good deal for this car.
