Default Great Cause

Count me in for $100.00 as soon as a fund is set up and thank you obx for taking the first step in support of this soldier.

Someone else came up with the idea He just put it in my head I haven't heard from them as of 4pm Sat.
We're up over a $1,000 plus parts with the C-2 crowd added.

First off, I'm so glad your son is alive. Thank god we have men and women like him in our military. And the family support is more important than most realize, he is lucky to have you care so much.

Secondly, I just wanted to say, I'm very touched by everyone who is willing to help this family out. Its heartwarming to know that Americans still appreciate their military. I currently am not able to help (other than to volunteer my time to vets), but once I graduate college, my main focus will be on the military and veterans.

Here's to your son continuing to live his dream and all the Americans who support it

I tell you what, let's see how good a gang we have here on this Forum. I got $100 to put towards that purchase. That is the very least I can do. Please post the name of the church if they are willing to oversee the fund raising and let's get the ball rolling.
Put me in for a hundred also.

PM sent

There are other ways to help other than financial and you are doing it now. From a vet - I appreciate your support.

Here's a '73 Roadster local to me. Similar body style except for the chrome bumpers. Looks decent to me

Default Count Me In

Please post mailing address for a little seed money and feel free to contact me for any advice. I've owned over 35 vettes and it would be a pleasure to help. From one Vet to another. If you need someone to do an inspection in NJ, please contact me.

Default Contact Will Be Made

As soon as I can get home from this business trip in China/Thailand and India I will make contact with Dr. Wagner and see if we can't formalize some of this for everyone. I have not met them but live so close that it would be a shame not to get some folks around this effort and to help. I apologize I cannot get home sooner, would be my wish to as well, but when I get home I will get to this while time adjusting.
Thanks to everyone for posting.
Best regards,
David Howard

Somebody needs to verify that this is legitimate before we all start sending Benjamins. This is a brand new forum member. I'm not saying it's a scam and I certainly hope it is not, but good scams are believable and will tug at your heart strings.

Maybe a local forum member could visit with the parents and report back to us that this is real. There are a lot of good members here willing to do a lot for a good cause. It would be horrible if our generosity was used against us. Again, I hope that's not what's happening, but let's be sure first.

I'll be doing that guys, I promise. I am traveling in Asia and cannot get back immediately. Read my post above, I promise to dig in to this in about a week. Until then don't flow any money, there is no need to rush. I will report back to all as soon as I can get home and confirm the data. I promise.

Nice offer Ghostrider.
I'll make contact as soon as I can get home from Asia and will make this my first priority when I get there. I have engaged the Easton Area Corvette Club to dig in to help as well and they will reach out to the Allentown Corvette Club, Lehigh Valley Corvette Club, and Skyline Corvette Clubs as soon as we can get in contact with him. I will make sure to keep posting as this progresses.
Thanks to all.

If this keeps up we'll have his gas money paid for a year too, good deal Ghoastrider1..!! and 77Sleeper/David thank you so much, you're the best..!! Been a while since I've been to Pa. ... We are close to $2,000, parts, and willing hands. We have a member that works with/knows quite a few Veterans with Corvettes in the Norfolk Va. area and he's stepped up to help there, so..............

BlackbirdZ07 no $ has been sent only pledges, I admit with the time that has lapsed with no response from the parents it does leave our minds to wonder. We'll get this all verified to everyone's satisfaction and handled correctly. We all know there are exceptional big-hearted members on here and this has once again proved it.

Keep the faith.

jerry
