We have performed an extensive body-on restoration on this car before offering it for sale, which would cost over $20,000 to duplicate. Previous owner claims that the 42,312 miles showing on the odometer are original, although they did not have any documentation to prove it. This car's paint is recent, and in good condition with a good shine. Front bumper appears to be original, and is in good condition. Rear bumpers are newer reproductions, and are in good to very good condition. All weatherstripping is recent, and in very good condition. Exterior door handles are new, and in very good condition, as are the exterior emblems. This car wears a set of rally wheels, which are in good to very good condition, as are the center caps. Trim rings are brand new, and are in very good to excellent condition. Tires are new raised white letter radials, with an average of 10/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1970 Corvette shows brand new correct seat covers and foam, door panels, loop carpet, floor mats, air vents, t-top headliners, storage bin assembly, door handles, and seatbelts, all in very good to excellent condition. Gauges are in overall good condition with good condition lenses. Rear fiber optics seem to be in working condition. Steering wheel is in good condition, as is the center console, which is crack-free. Dash pad is in good condition as well with no cracks, and a correct appearing AM/FM radio is in place. The numbers matching engine in this 1970 Corvette shows casting date January 31, 1970, and final assembly date July 6, 1970. Correct intake manifold and air cleaner are in place, and the engine compartment and underside are clean and nicely detailed. A/C blows cold, and has been converted to R134a. Frame is solid and rust-free. Other new parts installed between 2010 and 2011 include ignition shielding, hood release cable, steering coupler, front marker lenses, wiper door valve, wiper arms, air cleaner lid and decal, emissions decal, a/c condenser, receiver/dryer, front spoiler, blower motor relay, blower motor, alternator, oil filler cap, distributor shaft, distributor tach gear, distributor vacuum advance, wiper switch, rearview mirror, flywheel cover (not pictured), full tuneup, t-top molding, upper radiator hose, Delco a/c compressor, shift plate data plaque, exhaust system, visors, exhaust tips, brake master cylinder, sill plates, brake calipers and pads, and rear license plate bezel.
