I'm at a loss- what's a fair price for this very nice C3?

I think you shouldn't get too concerned when you've only had it for sale for a little over one week. You should be thinking in terms of having it for sale for months if you don't want to take bottom dollar for it. Also, an ad on the Corvette forum probably doesn't have the widest reach. You'd probably reach a lot more people advertising it on Cars.com, autotrader.com, or perhaps one of the Corvette for sale web sites. It seems to me people on the Corvette forum hear about cars at very low prices and don't really want to pay more than bottom dollar.

I have been trying to sell for over a year now- just posted to Corvette Forum last week because I was getting little response and those all low ball offers- I only tried selling locally- you are correct about needing to reach the masses- Corvette Forum was worth a shot-

I see, that is quite a while. I wouldn't give up on Corvette Forum yet, it hasn't been on here very long. Bump it to the top every so often and give it a bit of time on here.

I agree, everyone will tell you its not worth that on here, and then offer u nothing for it, but the reality is it is worth that. I have a 72 for sale as well, the low average is 27k the national average is 49k and top end is 63k. If ur in a situation where u dont have to sell it then stay strong. 25k is a fair price that is what they were selling for 11 years ago when I got mine. So in reality 25k is probably low in my opinion.

Actually, to be clear, if anyone tells anyone something "is not worth that" in a sales thread at the forum, (unless requested by OP) report the post because it's against the Interference in a Sales Thread rules and the comment will be removed and sanctioned.

Good to know- no one has ever said to me it's not worth the asking price- they just want it for as little as possible- If it doesn't sell by Spring- we'll likely just keep as we don't drive it much and that never is good for a car-

I agree. Keep it rather than give it away. After the low-ballers buy their "dream cars", they soon discover why the car cost so little.

Actually that so describes us with this car- drove it a few years then decided to take it up a step- by the time we fixed everything that kept popping up we had about 2 plus times what is it now worth invested- once you tear it down it's hard- have to fix or it's worthless or a parts car-

Be patient. It IS a 4 sp and that is a HUGE plus. These cars are 40 plus years old and without major (and costly) restoration and repairs these cars are just basic heavily worn out drivers at best. One could not even begin to bring one up to your cars's condition for what you are asking. Most don't ever recover $ spent with the on and on fixing that comes with an OLD corvette. Great car and the color as well.

Looks like a nice car but do you think your user name has anything to do with someone's perception of the quality of the restoration?
I am just throwing that out there because it was the first thing I thought of when I saw your ad.
I am not in the market currently but I hope prospective buyers don't look at it this way.

Be patient...it took me two months to sell my 69' on here.
You will go a few weeks with nothing and get three hits in a week.
There are folks that only jump on here once a month or better.

Beautiful car. I don't think the user name is the problem, but I do think you lose a large portion of the country this time of year when so many of us are getting our cars ready for storage. It's difficult to spend that much only to store the car away until spring. Just my opinion. There is a buyer out there looking for this car.
