Default 1971 LT-1 FS. NCRS Award winner. Under $40K. NJ

SOLD!

I have decided to list my 1971 LT-1 coupe for sale. This is my second classic Corvette over the last 10 years. I don't get much chance to enjoy this car with work and family commitments. She is way too nice and drives too nice to just sit in my garage. I'd like to move quickly but this is NOT a fire sale. I just have other plans for the money. Serious offers only please.

She has great cosmetics inside and out. Paint is a very solid 9.5 out of 10. Interior is very clean and original. All Fiber Optics work. The clock works. The radio works. The wipers work. The vacuum overrides for the wiper door and the headlights work. She shifts beautifully. She starts, runs and stops beautifully. The engine is strong and is a blast to drive. The LT-1 is certainly a special driving experience.

I have a copy of an evaluation done on 3/30/06 by Kenneth Champagne Jr. I don't know much about him but he is said to be a respected Corvette expert in the northeast for what it's worth. In that evaluation and at that time he described the car as a 'trailer queen', 'matching #'s throughout', and would score in the '95-96 point range' with NCRS with high marks for 'paint, originality, and documentation'. I tend to agree with everything he states except 'trailer queen'. I drive the car, albeit sparingly.

I paid for Drew Papsun, respected NCRS Master Judge from Ct. to perform a pre-purchase inspection for me of the car on 12/11/11. Drew inspected the car on the ground and on a lift. The car was dusty as it was not driven much by the previous owner. He had approx. 20 collector cars that received more attention than this one. Despite it's dusty state, Drew pegged the car as a definite Second Flight as it stood during the time of the inspection, with definite Top Flight potential.

I personally had the car judged in 2013 scoring 91.9 pts. at a Delaware Valley NCRS event. 91.9 pts. is Second Flight and I made no upgrades prior to judging. I wanted to get a baseline score to help guide me in making future upgrades. Top Flight begins at 94 pts. The judges were very impressed with the car for it's first time being judged. I made several upgrades since judging but never got a chance to have the car judged again. The next owner will have that thrill! Judging sheets available to review if you have serious interest.

What comes with the car:
-Tank sticker in vinyl protective sleeve.
-Chrome driving wheels with radial tires.
-Original, correct date coded wheels and trim rings with Firestone Wide Ovals for judging
-Date coded T-top bags
-Corvette America Premium Flannel car cover
-Clear Lexan clip on mud flaps to protect paint while driving.
-Various receipts, title copies from some previous owners.
-1971 Original Chevrolet Corvette sales brochure.

This is an investment grade LT-1. This car WILL absolutely appreciate in value. I have searched the internet and do not think you could find an LT-1 this complete, this original, this close to Top Flight, that runs this well, for my price.

My price is $39,999. I am located in southern NJ, about 35 minutes from Philadelphia, Pa. and am available for private showings upon appointment.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions via PM.

Default Lt-1

Very nice LT-1. Nothing better than looking at the front grill area of a no-hit C3. So many of them have been hit and it's very hard to get the factory fit back.

Let the Mouse roar!!

Good luck with the sale.

Chassis
-Radiator Cap. Purchased and installed proper cap with proper markings.
-Headlamp actuators. Purchased proper red paint for application and applied a dot in proper location to each actuator housing per NCRS specification.
-Front Valance. Removed bolts and turned around to be facing the proper way.
-Oil Filter. Purchased and installed proper AC Delco filter with correct markings.

Interior
-Carpets. Missing front plugs. Purchased and in package. Not installed.
-Door panel. Door pull. Purchased and installed correct interior color pulls.

There has been a lot of interest thus far. Thank you. I'm working to return calls and send further information to everyone who has contacted me. A couple of in person inspection scheduled as well.

Hoping she will find a new home soon!

Nice LT-1 at what seems a very good price. With the works you have done since it received a 2nd flight, do you not think that the possibility of a top flight would be achievable and increase the value to make it worthwhile ?

Of course that is a possibility except I am looking to sell it rather soon. I have something else I want to use the money for.
